July 2026
July unfolded through new ideas, new faces, and new reasons to come together, a month shaped by robotics, Honduran coffee, families, community, a new sunset park, and the moments in between.
For several families this summer, Roatán became much more than another destination on the map.
Brought to life by Daniel Thompson and the Noma Collective team, the experience welcomed nomadic families to Próspera for a few weeks of island living, work, exploration, and connection.
Their time at Las Verandas was filled with new friendships, beautiful views, workdays by the Caribbean, and plenty of opportunities to discover Roatán together. While parents worked and connected, the youngest members enjoyed a summer program led by Pristine Academy.
What started as a retreat became something more: a temporary home, a close-knit community, and memories that traveled well beyond the island.
This summer brought a new first to Próspera: our first Robotics Summer Camp, and hopefully the first of many.
Hosted at The Beta District and powered by BLAZAR & Make.DIY, kids from Pristine Academy and the Nomad Families group spent their days coding, 3D printing, and building with VEX robotics, turning ideas into projects they could see, test, and improve.
But the real learning went beyond robots. Along the way, they practiced teamwork, problem-solving, leadership, and the confidence to try something new, proving that sometimes the best way to learn is simply to start building.
This July, Roatán got a taste of Honduran coffee in a whole new way.
Created by Festho, Espressate brought coffee lovers and experts together for an immersive journey through specialty coffee, from guided tastings and cupping sessions to brewing methods and the stories behind different Honduran varieties.
Led by two Honduran siblings with a passion for coffee and bringing people together, Festho created the perfect setting to learn, taste, connect, and enjoy a good cup along the way.
After six years in Tegucigalpa, Espressate made its Roatán debut, bringing a much-loved experience to the island for the first time.
On July 25, Próspera BioHub hosted its first Foro de Biomedicina, bringing together physicians, scientists, ethicists, and leaders from Honduras, Central America, and Colombia to explore the future of medicine and research in the region.
The day covered everything from public health and bioethics to precision medicine, gene editing, biological aging, and cell therapy, with perspectives from Dr. Claudia Carranza, Andrés Cárdenas, PhD, MPH, and others.
Across every conversation, one idea stood out: Honduras has the potential to play a meaningful role in the future of medical research in Central America.
The forum was a step toward bringing science, academia, investment, and the public sector closer together, and toward imagining what becomes possible when the right people, ideas, and opportunities meet.
Last month, Erick and the team joined business leaders and members of the Miami Economic Club for an evening of conversation around Próspera, investment, and future partnerships.
What began as a presentation quickly opened into a lively exchange of ideas, questions, and new connections, the kind of conversations we hope to keep building beyond the island.
The trip also marked an exciting milestone: Próspera is now a formal partner of the Miami Economic Club, creating new opportunities to connect our ecosystem with leaders and communities across the United States.
A special thank you to BitBasel for co-hosting the evening and helping bring everyone together.
And this is only the beginning. More gatherings are coming. Follow our events on our website.
Pristine Bay welcomed a new community park and social area designed for families to gather, children to play, and everyone to enjoy one of the island's best sunset views.
Brought to life by our team, the project was created with a simple idea in mind: more places to connect, unwind, and enjoy life together.
Opening day brought face painting, burgers, games, plenty of laughs, and families discovering the space for the first time.
Sometimes the simplest places become the most meaningful, one sunset, conversation, and memory at a time.
Not every memorable moment comes with a big announcement. Some simply happen along the way.
Laughs, games, celebrations, races, tours, new faces, and unexpected conversations, the kind of moments that make life on the ground feel special.
We welcomed the second half of 2026 with fresh energy, new ideas, and plenty to look forward to.
Until the next edition, thank you for being part of our July.
With love,
Nelly 🌸
